Cheryl Gillaspy

Purpose: I purpose to know and enjoy God and to make Him visible through my marriage, family, and service.

Vision: I want to serve the Lord through the local church, helping people see His great love for them. I want my relationships with my husband and family to reflect God’s love, and to be and encouragement to others to make Him first place in their lives and homes.

Biography: Cheryl Gillaspy has been called out of retirement after 30 years of ministry to help plant Riverpark Community Church. She has served on the staff of local churches in Moorpark, Oxnard, and Camarillo, and most recently served as Minister of Music at Camarillo Community Church, her home church, where she championed and built a large contemporary seeker sensitive music and arts ministry.

Cheryl is a graduate of Westmont College with a degree in Music/English and a credential in Secondary Education. She holds a Master of Music in Performance in Conducting and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership.

Cheryl and Joe Gillaspy are both natives of Ventura County, and have been married for 29 years. Joe is the President of Gillaspy Associates, a manufacturer sales rep company serving the date storage industry. Joe and Cheryl have four children. Heather, married to Mason Paulec, Brandon, married to Elianna, and Morgan and Tara, both champion fiddlers, and award wining violinists.
