Unstoppable
October 5th, 2008
With John Alan Turner
Part of the Unstoppable series.
When Jesus was alive on earth, he walked with people, talked with people, ate with people and did miracles for people. Then he died for people, and, after three days, came back to life and showed himself to people.
What must those people have thought he would do for a sequel?
Imagine their surprise when he turned to them and said, "You're it! You're going to be my sequel!"
Being the sequel for Jesus meant taking risks for the sake of a higher calling than just fishing or collecting taxes. It meant embracing a new identity that might mean rejection, alienation, persecution or even death.
But the earliest Christians did embrace this new identity. The Book of Acts is their story.
